    Hi Laura

My name is Kirk McKoy and I am the photo editor with the Baltimore Banner. First I would like to say congrats on you MDDC awards wins. I am new to the area again. I worked at the Los Angeles Times as Senior photo Editor for 30+ years and now am a returning Maryland native. Went to college at the University of Maryland. Just to give you an idea of my background.

Secondly I wanted to contact you about looking at the Banner as a possible work place. I have an opening and am interested in getting a person of color in the position, if you are interested. The Banner is a nonprofit news site here in Baltimore, MD. We are less than a year and our circulation has already climbed to 71,000+ and still growing. We are a heavily based community new organization.

Please give us a look and get back to me if you are interested or have questions about the Banner.

    Best,
    Kirk McKoy
