Hello and welcome to my website. I am Lauren Alisabeth Roberts and I work as a photojournalist for the Daily Times in Salisbury, Maryland. In addition to photos I also create videos for news assignments, organizations and for fun.
I’m a 2014 graduate of Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX receiving a B.F.A in mass communication. Before MSU I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA with a B.F.A in sound design in 2010.
I interned with the Scripps Howard Foundation at the Times Record News shooting videos and photos while posting to the website and diving through the archives.
I freelanced with the Times Record News, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and shot photos for other newspapers in Texas like the Denton Record Chronicle. I’ve also interned with KFDX which helped with the videos I shoot for newspapers. I worked on the student newspaper at Midwestern for two years starting with photography and moving up to a managing editor position while training students and continuing to take photos.
I worked with Time Warner Cable Sports running the sideline, hero and game cameras for live and recorded broadcasts. I first started freelancing with the Faith Mission in Wichita Falls filming a video showcasing it’s Night in a Box charity fundraiser.
I’ve made videos for the Wichita Falls Youth Symphony Orchestra, the WF Small Business Development Center and I’ve taken photos for the Midwestern State University Public relations department for it’s magazine and online platforms.
